Complimentary exchange service of PA-300C AC adapter with abnormal heat generation.
Thank you for your continuous support of YAMAHA products. We are issuing a voluntary recall of the Yamaha PA-300C AC Adapter, which may pose a risk of overheating, potentially leading to melting, smoke, or in rare cases, ignition.
Kindly stop using the affected PA-300C and contact us by completing the form below.
Applicable products
This recall is limited to PA-300C manufactured from July 2010 through May 2012, sold individually, included with product, or built-in with the following Yamaha & Steinberg products:
a) Only the AC adapter (Sold individually)
● PA-300C
b) Models with PA-300C included :
● Yamaha DTX900
● Steinberg UR824
c) Models with PA-300C built-in :
● Yamaha Clavinova CLP-430 series (B/M/R/WH color)
● Yamaha Clavinova CVP-601 (B color)

How to check if your PA-300C is affected?
The affected adapters can be identified by the Model, with the words EFFICIENCY LEVEL ‘V’ and in the Serial Number range as below:

What do I do next if my PA-300C is affected?
Yamaha is offering a free replacement for affected adapters. To initiate the exchange, please follow the steps below:
a) Stop using the Adapter.
b) Unplug the Adapter from both the AC outlet and the connected product.
c) For adapters built-in to the applicable CLP and CVP series owners, please do not attempt to dismantle it.
d) Please complete and submit the form below:

Affected adapters are those with Efficiency Level 'V' and serial numbers range XXXX0XXXXXX to XXXX25XXXXX
If you have an affected AC adapter, please fill up this form and we will contact you regarding the process of replacing the unit.
4. Delivery and Collection :
For your convenience, we offer complimentary home delivery for the adapter exchange process. Alternatively, you may choose to self-collect at our Service Centre.
Upon receiving and verifying your submission details, we will contact you to arrange the exchange. Please ensure the original adaptor is available at the time of exchange.
Note : This service is not available for affected adapters of built-in models. A technician will be scheduled to inspect and replace the adaptor, if necessary.

Even if the adapter appears to function normally, continued use poses a safety. We strongly advise customers to proactively participate in our complimentary exchange program to mitigate any potential safety risks associated with the PA-300C AC adapter.
Please be assured that the Yamaha products themselves have been thoroughly tested and confirmed to be safe. The issue is isolated to the PA-300C adapter when used in conjunction with these products.
