Waves WSG-PY64 Card Expands DM7 Series’ Audio Processing Options

February 12, 2025, Shizuoka, Japan - Yamaha is pleased to announce that the latest firmware update for DM7 series digital mixing consoles features full support for the newly-launched Waves WSG-PY64 card.
With DM7 firmware version 1.7 and the Waves WSG-PY64 card installed, DM7 series consoles can use Waves SoundGrid® technology to run Waves plug-ins at ultra-low latency, complete with multi-track recording and playback. The card provides 64 channels of audio processing with the whole range of Waves SoundGrid-compatible plug-ins to choose from.*
Adding to the DM7 series’ already large selection of cutting-edge processing, Waves plug-ins give sound engineers access to an unparallelled range of high quality sonic options.
Noam Raz, Waves General Manager/Live Division, comments, “We are delighted to deepen our partnership with Yamaha, with the expansion of our product lineup for DM7 series digital mixing consoles, enabling enhanced processing with Waves plug-ins.”
“The combination of compact-yet-powerful DM7 series consoles and award-winning Waves plug-ins offers unlimited possibilities for sound creation,” adds Thomas Hemery, Senior General Manager at Yamaha’s Professional Solutions Division.
“Yamaha has a long relationship with Waves and we will continue to collaborate, providing more options and the best operating possibilities for audio engineers.”
The WSG-PY64 is scheduled to start shipping from Waves during summer 2025.
* Waves SoundGrid requires a Waves SoundGrid DSP server, Waves SuperRack SoundGrid software and a Mac or PC.
