Yamaha Piano Prize 2014
One of the many organized events for Yamaha music students in Malaysia, Yamaha Piano Prize took its centre stage on the 6th April 2014 at the newly established performing arts venue, KuAsh Theatre TTDI. There were altogether 44 contestants selected from some 1050 students national wide during the Yamaha Piano Course Concert 2013.
The Yamaha Piano Prize consists of 2 separate category – Piano Solo and Piano Duet. Each category there are 3 sections – Junior, Intermediate and Advanced; and to encourage more students of different level to participate, we also included an Open section for this year.
In Yamaha we believe that music should not just be taught at classrooms. Students should be inspired to love the art of making music. It is to this end that this competition is organized as a platform for students to put into practice what they have learned in the classrooms and to build their confidence and effort to perform in front of an audience.
We hope that the encouragement the students received from their performances during the event inspired them of wanting to enhance their skill and increase their love and passion for the art of making music.
