It is Yamaha's principle belief that while children develop physically and mentally, the golden age to nurture their listening ability accompanied with age appropriate music education is crucial. For young children, whose listening ability develops remarkably at the age of 4 - 5, teaching with emphasis on ‘listening' will help acquire the fundamental music ability and sensitivity to music while having fun.

In addition, Yamaha Music Education System also focuses on integrated teaching, where student’s music learning journey starts through : 'listen', 'sing', 'play', 'read’, ‘write’ and 'compose’. Yamaha Music Education uses the keyboard as a learning tool but does not only focus on technical guidance for playing, and instead allows children to learn music from different aspects. Thus, children are motivated to apply their sensitivity and imagination, nurturing their ability to stimulate their creativity.
